Plan of attack for DirectDraw Surface legacy code

Jul 30, 2008 at 4:46 PM
Clearly the DirectDraw Surface legacy code is going to need updating to DirectX9, but does anyone know the steps that are going to be taken?  Are they going to rip the entire DirectX7 code out and rewrite it with the managed libs from DirectX9?  Are they going to write a wrapper for the wrapper that is in place?

Thanks,

They (being me) is doing it right now. The DXVBLib.dll references are being removed and all the DirectX code in the Renderer project is being replaced to call the managed DirectX interfaces.

Right on.  You are a good man for taking this on.
